Character Dress Up Day

Friday was such a fun day! We all got to dress up as a character from a book and we had some amazing costumes in Room 9.

Even the teachers got dressed up!

Making Gruffalo's

On Thursday we went to see our buddy class. We all made our own little Gruffalo's!
It was a little tricky to cut and put together but we all managed with the help of our big buddies.
Here are some photos of us making them.

Stu Duval

Sunnyhills was so lucky to have Stu Duval with us for the first two days of our literacy week.
On the first day, he showed us how to draw different things out of numbers. All the children loved it!
He also told us an amazing pirate story all about Lamingtons!

On the second day, all the children bought pencils and paper and Stu taught them easy ways to draw different things. They all had such a great time!

Finger puppets with our buddy class

Last Friday our buddy class came along to do an activity with us.
Mrs Smith read The Gruffalo book to us and then all the children coloured and cut out some finger puppets.

Here we are creating our finger puppets.

Two of our buddies from Room 15 retold the story using their finger puppets. They did so well!

Making Compound Sentences

The past couple of weeks Room 9 has been making compound sentences. It has been a bit tricky but we are starting to get used to it!

Here are some photos of the Room 9 children feeling proud of their compound sentences.
