Another fun time with our buddy class

This week when Room 15 came to see us, they brought their book boxes and read some stories to us.
We then chose a story from our book box to read to our buddy.
We had so much fun getting to know our buddies better and learning with them.

Cleaning up our environment!

Each Friday we spend some time cleaning up an area of the school.
We have been making sure our environment is being looked after and we are keeping it nice and clean.

Painting Huggles

This week our big book was about Huggles going to school.

So on Friday we all got to paint our own piece of artwork of Huggles.
Here are some photos of us creating our masterpieces!

On Friday we had our buddy class come to see us for the first time this year.
Room 15 came and helped us finish our Maths activity and we took some time to get to know them.
Here are some pictures of us with our buddies from Room 15!

Our first whole school assembly.

On Friday we had our first whole school assembly.
It was a lot of fun and it was nice to see the whole school together.

Well done to Aaron for receiving a Principal's certificate for his amazing writing!

Koru Art in the Koru Learning Hub

On Friday we created some art work for our room. We talked about how the Koru inspired the name for The Koru Learning Hub.

The koru, which is often used in Māori art as a symbol of creation, is based on the shape of an unfurling fern frond. Its circular shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement, and its inward coil suggests a return to the point of origin.
This is how we feel about the learners in the Koru Learning Hub. Unfurling as we learn and our skills develop.

Come in and see our art work displayed in the classroom.
